JJ & Mandy Lail
Teen Home Parents
JJ & Mandy Lail have been married for fourteen years. They spent a summer in Bogota, Colombia in 1996 and felt like God would call them to serve in a Spanish speaking country someday. JJ taught Spanish for twelve years, while Mandy worked with children, first as a social worker and then as a children’s pastor for fifteen years. During this time, they adopted their daughter, Sofia, 4 and half, and their son, Nico, 2 and half, from Colombia.
The Lails began praying about moving to a Spanish speaking country after adopting their children. They initially felt like God was leading them to Colombia but that door closed and the door flew wide open to pursue a staff position with Back2Back in Monterrey. They continued to pray and to pursue God’s leading about moving to Monterrey to be house parents in the teen program. Every door was flung open and God overcame every obstacle.
They have been house parents for the Hope Program since September 2008. They are excited to serve the young men that God has placed in their house and family. Their deepest desire is to experience Jesus and the life that He promises and for God to use them to allow others to do the same!
