Mexico Programs

Back2Back Mexico Programs

The following programs were created with a focus of bringing needed resources to the strategic success points of the ministry’s efforts to provide “care for today, and hope for tomorrow.”  Please prayerfully consider coming on as our support team in one of our program areas.

Shelter Child Sponsorship Program

Program Description: Through the Shelter Program, you can make a lasting difference in the life of a child at one of the orphanages with which we partner, through monthly child sponsorship.  To us, providing shelter goes beyond simply meeting the physical needs of a child.  It means helping each child understand the love, care and protection of their heavenly Father.  Sponsors assist us in accomplishing that, by contributing toward the expense of providing food, housing, clothing, health care and educational opportunities, as well as spiritual training and personal development.

Sponsors will have the opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with their child through letters, quarterly updates, prayers and even visits, should they choose to take part in a future Back2Back mission trip.

Needs: Our goal is that each child we serve would have the benefit of a sponsor, but many children are still waiting for a sponsor.

Current Funding and Future Funding Needs: Child sponsorship is a $100 per month investment.  This amount covers the total cost for the children's home to care for the child for a month.  We also offer half-sponsorships at $50 for month.  We then attempt to pair the child with a second sponsor to share the cost.  If you are interested in sponsoring a child, please contact Claire Rogers at the Back2Back US office at claire@back2backministries.org or 513.754.0300, ext 1704.

Hope Education Program

Program Description: Through the Hope Education Program, we offer students from Mexican children’s homes a way to continue their education when free public school ends at ninth grade. This program is built around residence style living on the Back2Back campus.  The students stay on the Back2Back campus in homes with staff families, experiencing a healthy family life, perhaps for the very first time. Students are mentored, provided with an education, and encouraged to pursue their dreams so that they can become self-sustaining individuals who give back to their community. Only 4% of Mexicans complete college; those who do will become the leaders of tomorrow, forever shaping the direction of their country.

Needs: Monthly financial support is needed to operate these homes.  Funding needs include utilities, food, clothing, household, and transportation expenses.

$250 per month is our cost to send a teen to high school. $330 per month will cover the expense of a student’s basic needs. $350 per month is our cost to send a teen to college. Please consider contributing to our students’ academic needs.

Staff Support

All staff members in the US, Mexico, Nigeria and India raise private support to cover their salaries, allowing Back2Back to direct more of it's funding directly to the children and programming.  For national staff members, Back2Back provides salary and health benefits.  Our staff in the the US, Mexico, Nigeria and India, are vital in carrying out the mission and vision of Back2Back. Please consider donating toward a Back2Back staff member.

The James Round Table

The James Round Table is a group of Back2Back advocates, who are dedicated to developing support and funding for the ministry. It was formed by two of our board members: Mike Ellison and Martha Lindner.

Program Description: James Round Table members commit to partnering with Back2Back with an annual charitable contribution of $5,000.  As a member, your gift will support the following three areas: •    Ongoing needs of the children’s homes  •   An emergency fund to meet unforseen needs of the children and families that we serve •    Hope Education Program.
