Take a Mission Trip
Facilities: We currently have group housing at hostels. During your stay you have access to running water and 220V electricity. The rooms are divided by males and females and individual beds are provided. All meals are made onsite or are catered in by local and trusted restaurants. Safe drinking water is on supply at all times.
How do I begin to plan a trip: We do all the hard work for you! Getting ready for a trip is actually quite simple. Call our India Mission Coordinator, Chris Ramos, to select a date to travel and view the India Mission Trip Guide online. (The Trip Guide can be found in our Publication Section.) If you have any questions, our Mission Coordinator can walk you through the process.
Trips can be scheduled at any time of the year. However, the summer months can be very hot and monsoon season very wet. Best weather is usually September through March.
We encourage anyone who can cross the Atlantic Ocean by plane to join us in India. We believe everyone can play a role in making a difference in the lives of the children we serve. Whether you think you have something to offer or not; everyone can be used!
Types of Groups that Serve:
1. Church Groups
Any church, from any part of the country can play a role in helping us meet the needs of the people in Hyderabad, India. Taking a mission trip is an awesome way for church members to connect with one another, develop a heart for the least, the last, and the lost, and allow individuals to use the gifts God has given them. Our trips are 7-12 days long including travel time. During your stay you will be led by our staff living in Hyderabad and will experience firsthand the poverty in India. Your time will be divided into work projects and building relationships with the Indian people. We can also specialize your group if you have specific talents and gifts represented by group members.
2. School/Corporate/Civic Groups:
Many are looking for ways for students, staff or group members to connect and team build. During an 7-12 day trip your group will be able to work firsthand with orphans, their caretakers and teachers. Groups can serve in a variety of ways and choose to sponsor one of our ongoing or larger projects in a children’s home. We ask that all group members be 14 years of age or older and have adequate male and female chaperones.
3. Skilled Groups:
Going on a trip to India is a great way for groups of men or women to use their skills to help meet the needs we face everyday. You can meet specific needs with skills in education, tailoring, construction, medicine, agriculture, business and much, much more. Please let us know if there is an area of expertise that you can support us with!
4. Family Groups:
There is no greater way to come together as a family than by serving with one another. Husbands, wives, parents and children can serve our villages and local orphanages. Because of the travel and distance we ask that all family groups travel with children 14 years of age or older.
